Lord, Lead me to YOUR Harvest

Matthew 9: 37-38
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Over the last month or so our Sunday night series has been “Rescue” a series about reaching the lost and I think that almost everyone would say they are focused on reaching lost people.

However, church folks often pray for God to “send us a harvest” but the truth is we often mean “send us a harvest we are comfortable with.”

Send us certain types of people.

Send us lost folks but semi-good people.

Send us people that won’t rock the church boat too much.

However, the truth is that if you really desire to see LOST people saved and people that recognize they really need something different, they probably aren’t going to be folks that have it all together.

They are going to come from broken homes and destroyed marriages.

They are going to be kids that are raised in environments that have no stability and are just looking for love.

They are going to be struggling addicts that want to be delivered and set free.

Revival usually doesn’t come in a suit and tie, it comes in a person with some bandages and bruises.

I am so thankful for the love and compassion our church shows to EVERYONE that comes through our doors and to our community in general.

Our church is full of testimonies about different life experiences and how a genuine encounter with Jesus changed everything.

My prayer is for Jesus to awaken us even more and send us laborers to help reach HIS harvest in Hessmer, Avoyelles Parish and beyond.

Maybe you have been praying for a sign or perhaps you have always felt like there was something more than you have experience. We’d love to speak to you and set up a personal Bible Study and let you know about the life-changing power of the Holy Spirit.

In His Service,
Jarryd Raynes – Senior Pastor
Upper Room Church
